Presentation title: Development of One Health in Nanjing Agricultural University

Dr. Yingjuan Qian joined Nanjing agricultural university as a Professor in Preventive Veterinary Medicine since 2013 after she got her Ph.D. in Cell biology from University of Alabama at Birmingham and postdoc training in College of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis. She is also the chief scientist of NAU-UCDavis One Health Center (2015-) and the associate director of the Joint International Laboratory of Animal Health and Food Safety, Ministry of Education, China (2017-), co-leader of Global One Health Research Partner (GOHRP) (2019-), a board member of Chinese Consortium of One Haealth (2021-), and the mentor of 2023 World Food Forum (WFF) Transformative Research Challenge. She co-organized seven one health symposia with GOHRP founder universities, including University of California at Davis, Wageningen University & Research and Massey University. Her research focuses on virus-host interactions to understand viral pathogenesis, including a tumor model virus (MDV), coronavirus (PEDV), and African swine fever virus (ASFV), as well as develop prevention and control methods for these emerging/re-emerging diseases. She has published over 40 scientific papers on well recognized journals including Genes & Development, PNAS, J Virol, JBC, etc. She is an editorial board member of Science in One Health and One Health Bulletin.
