Dr Z.P. Dube is a senior lecturer at the University of Mpumalanga, South Africa. His research interests are on diversity and management of plant pests using environment-friendly strategies with special emphases on use of medicinal plant extracts in the management of plant-parasitic nematodes. He is a young upcoming scientist with an extensive peer reviewed publication record in the field of nematodes and nematode management that has received over 460 citations and an h-index of 11. He has managed to establish both national and international research and student training collaboration that resulted in the training of PhD, Masters and honours students. His future goals are to document extensively on environmentally safe, effective and sustainable utilization of plant extracts in the management of crop pests in a climate smart approach.
